Trigger Stop Controllers

9 Item(s)

Why Purchase Trigger Stop Controllers? The Super Nintendo was more than just a breakthrough in graphics and sound for gaming; it provided some innovation to the way we play games too. Thanks to the shoulder buttons (also known as bumpers) on the top of the controller, our index fingers can finally go to work and execute more complicated maneuvers with little effort. Today’s gaming consoles take the concept a bit further by adding more shoulder buttons and triggers. Triggers require a bit extra force but feel more comfortable and have that tactile feel. However, several first-person shooter titles allow you to shoot even if the trigger button isn’t depressed all the way making it tricky to come up with some quick shots. Trigger stop controllers aim to address the problem and somewhat bring gaming back to the Super Nintendo days. But why buy controllers with trigger stops if there are available kits that include trigger stoppers so you can install them yourselves? DIY-projects are actually recommended if you want to save money but not everyone wants to play Operation on their original PS3 or Xbox 360 controller. These original controllers are still priced at the $30 to $55 range so you might not want that money to go to waste just because you failed to replace your controller’s triggers with trigger stoppers and broke a component or two in the process. Trigger stop controllers are simply a safer bet because these controllers are equipped with the trigger stops right out of the box. On top of that, you are pretty much getting an extra controller that feels like the original controller. Depending on the controller you pick, the controller might be the one you want to use as your primary controller because some controllers with trigger stops are modded allowing you to do all sorts of other things as well. Call of Duty and Halo players may be able to enjoy special modes that make it easier to do certain techniques that can give you an advantage over other players using standard controllers. These techniques include rapid fire, jump shooting and the infamous quickscoping using the sniper rifle. It normally takes practice to execute these tactics but the modded controllers allow you to perform these tricks on the fly. Let’s not forget too about those trigger stops which allow you to shoot much more rapidly as if you are pressing a bumper. Once you have gotten acquainted with the controller, you are likely to give your original controller to the other player when playing a local multiplayer game. Because trigger stoppers are basically small pegs that stick out on the side of the triggers to prevent them from being depressed all the way, you will have to remove these trigger stops yourself whenever you play a game that requires the full functionality of a trigger. By getting one of the many trigger stop controllers, you won’t have to do that since you have the original controller to fall back to. If you have the budget and could benefit from an extra controller for your console, getting a trigger stop controller is a good investment.
